# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Toss the trimmed asparagus spears with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder until evenly coated.
03 - Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into 8 strips approximately 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
04 - Gather 3 asparagus spears per bundle and wrap one pastry strip around the middle, leaving tips and ends exposed. Pinch pastry ends together at the bottom to form a star shape.
05 - Place bundles on the prepared baking sheet, brush pastry with beaten egg, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
